The Maori Party has called on ERMA not to approve Endosulfan as a poison for insects and worms in New Zealand.

ERMA is currently considering an application to renew approval of endosulfan. It is sprayed on vegetables, fruit and flowers, and is also used to kill worms on golf courses, airports and other grassed areas.
